Exploring ways to map and monitor biodiversity using different data and (spatially explicit) analyses methods.
One of my research interests is biodiversity in general, and more specifically how to map spatial biodiversity patterns using different data and methods.
I am member of the Innovative Bio-monitoring research group (IBM). As the name suggests, the aim of our research group is to apply innovative bio-monitoring techniques – like automatic image and sound recognition - to concrete social issues. The goal is to contribute to protecting and maintaining our biodiversity.
My focus in on monitoring (the effect of interventions on) urban biodiversity and the use of spatial analysis techniques to prioritize and plan monitoring. Want to know more, leave me a message (click the messagee button below).
